Abstract

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanopowder was synthesized by cost effective hydrothermal method. The sample was subjected to X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and the average crystallite size was estimated from Debye Scherrer's formula and was found to be 30nm. XRD pattern measures the micro strain, bond length, volume, and dislocation density. The instrumental broadening analysis reveals the size and micro strain by Williamson-Hall Plot method. The result revealed that the morphology index is interrelated with particle size and specific surface area.
