Design and Analysis of Two Wheeler Composite Chassis Frame : A Review
Authors(2) :-Abhijeet R. Raut, Dr. A.D.Shirbhate The chassis frame forms the backbone of a vehicle. Automotive chassis is the main carriage system of a vehicle. The two-wheeler chassis consists of a frame, suspension, wheels and brakes. Commonly used material for two-wheeler chassis is steel. Steel material makes the chassis frame heavy and thereby increasing overall weight of vehicle. Weight reduction is the crucial issue in today's automotive industries since it greatly affects the fuel efficiency of vehicle. Composite materials providing outstanding solution to this problem. In this paper an effort is made to review the investigations that have been made in design and analysis of various automotive parts with application of composites material.
