Abstract

Avadh was a major area of ??north India, which was a major area of ??Uttar Pradesh state of north India of present-day India, which is almost similar to the present state of Uttar Pradesh. It has been an important place in Indian history since its ancient times. In the Mahajanapadas, the Awadh region was under Koshal Pradesh and Ayogya was its capital.
