Abstract

Rigvedic Samaj was mainly tribal society and the main occupation of Aryans was pastoralism. Animals sometimes used to go astray from their paths in pastoral, so the natural powers which Aryans praised for discovering these animals were known as Pushn Dev. In addition, in the Rig Veda the Pushn Dev is described as the welfare of the Sun and the power to provide confirmation to humans. Like the Sun God, they observe all the world well and the inspiration of the Savitri dev goes astray.
