Abstract

In the Present Study the samples from gastrointestinal disorder during the period of 2014-2016 were collected. Out of total 663 samples 245 samples were found positive for Shigella isolation. After the isolation the antimicrobial susceptibility were carried out. In the screening process total 176 samples were found resistant while 34 samples were sensitive and remaining becomes intermediate. In the antimicrobial sensitivity, Imipenum was the most effective antibiotic found while Cefixime and Cephaloridine (85%) were the least effective antibiotic.
