Abstract

Non-violence is the cornerstone of Shramana-culture. Each of his principles is animated with nonviolent emotion. Follow-up of friendship, love, compassion, and mediatory values, admonition of equality and untouchability, the acceptance of new and polytheism, and the comfort and patience of a good friend are the principal pillars of non-violence. The entire literature of Shramana-Kanya is practiced by the practice of non-violence. His paunet background is incompatible with nonviolence.
