Abstract

The rise of the Rajputs, and their north India, is the establishment of all Rajput kingdoms in the former Middle Ages. These states fought each other and on the other hand they used to establish a marital relationship. Surely, during our period of study, there has been a significant contribution in attaining the power of marital relations. Here we will discuss only those relations which proved to be very beneficial for a particular king and through which a particular lineage has a significant advantage. We will also discuss here the women who played an important role in the army and the civil administration. In this perspective, marital relations of Gurjar-Prataharas, Palas, Chalukyas, Chandels, Chayans, Kachuris, Parmaras, Gadhwalans and Sena are important.
