Abstract

The control that was established by the Mauryas in different areas of the economy did not run more than a century. During the Mauryart period, the state was not controlled by the state. In this period, we do not know about such government farms, where the slave and hire workers cultivate under the supervision of the agricultural superintendent. But it seems that the farmer's private ownership was on land. As far as agricultural expansion is concerned, the political effort was taken by private efforts. Milind leaves are mentioned in such a person who clears the forest to make the land cultivable and takes some other steps as it uses the land so it is called its owner. Manu also affirms this fact. According to him, the sage lands believe in him who has cleaned the jungle and he considers the last deer, who has wounded him earlier. Thus, according to theoretical physiological labor in the claimant land, he was probably entitled to that property.
