Abstract

In the last few decades, urbanization has increased at a rapid pace in the world due to natural growth in population of cities and migration of population from rural areas to cities. Many new cities have been settled and the size of innumerable old cities has increased. In 1975, only 38 of the world's population lived in cities, which increased to 45 in 1995. At present, about 52 of the world's population lives in cities. It is expected that by 2025, 61 of the world's population will be urban. It is also known that the level of urbanization is high in the countries of Europe and America. Asia and Africa are mostly developing or backward countries. Where a small percentage of the population lives in cities. Due to the explosive increase in the number of cities and their size, there is an increase in buildings, roads, lanes, vehicles, sewage, garbage, harmful gases etc., which causes pollution of air, water and land. In addition, there is a variety of noise in the cities, which also causes the problem of noise pollution.
