Abstract

The study presented is a comparative study of the adjustment of students studying in funded and self-financed secondary schools. A comparative study of adjustment and their dimensions, emotional, social and educational adjustment has been done in the objectives of the study. The present study uses survey method under descriptive study. As a population, students studying in secondary schools of Allahabad district have been considered as the population. In the presented study, 4 secondary schools of Allahabad district have been selected and 50 students and 50 students studying there have been selected by random method. The adjustment list of Dr. AKP Singh and Dr. RP Singh has been used to collect data related to the adjustment. The presented study uses the mean, standard deviation, standard error and t-ratio statistical method for data analysis. The findings of the study found that adjustment ability and emotional adjustment among self-funded secondary schools was found to be higher than that in funded secondary schools, while similarities were found in social and educational adjustment.
