Government, Non-Government Aided and Self-Financed Schools Study Of Students' Academic Motivation (With Special Reference to Urban Areas)

Abstract

The present study studied the educational motivation of the students of government, non-government aided and self-financed schools (with special reference to urban areas). The study is related to the present time, so the survey method has been used under the descriptive research in the study. All the schools received from government, non-government aided and self-financed schools located in Prayagraj district have been included as population for the completion of the present study. In the present study, a total of 2 government, 2 non-government aided and 2 self-financed schools have been selected as a sample by lottery method, after which 50-50 students from each school have been selected randomly. As a tool, 'Academic Achievement and Motivation' made by Dr. T. R. Sharma has been used. The t-value statistical method was used to analyze the data. In conclusion, the educational motivation of urban students of self-financed schools was found to be the highest, that of urban students of government schools was found to be less than that and the educational motivation of urban students of non-government aided schools was found to be the lowest.
