Abstract

Ancient Indian teachings are a record of knowledge, whose imitation is inspired by the sensibilities of the entire Indian society. Education was the basic goal of life which gave the divine words of the sages and maharshis the background of the sublime ground of timeless knowledge. The field of ancient education in India is certainly very extensive. The precepts of the Vedas, Upanishads and Kalpa Sutras are imbued with multicolored scenes of life. In the same process of reflection, a spontaneous glance at the ancient Indian educational landscape is necessary.
