Abstract

The beginning of the period of formulas after Ved-Vedango and Upanishads begins. The formula style is used to sort and shorten detailed and complex literature for sacrifice. Consequently, the text of the classical discipline gathered in the form of brief rules started to be called 'formula'. The main feature of the sources was to 'submit more and more content in at least words'. Due to the primacy of the sources this period was called formula. The formula literature is obtained in both prose and verse.
