Abstract

This study aims for a new approach, that academic achievement is generally a manifestation of when one learns to harness their energy with a given innate potential and a particular pattern of social pressure. Considering the fact that both innate ability and environmental factors play an equally important role in academic achievement, it is imperative to pay attention to the interplay of these two factors. In terms of academic achievement innate ability is primarily demonstrated through intellectual work, and there is certainly a positive correlation between intellectual work and academic achievement. However, there are some confounding factors that hide the effect of this innate ability and, in turn, hinder the child's academic achievement during the student's studies. This group of students in particular are the ones who tend to be more internal. Parents and teachers are also not deprived of this, because in the absence of all external constraints and with the presence of sufficient and necessary intellectual abilities, they fail to achieve. In the present study this need is met by assessing intellectual function and exploiting various environmental factors that may account for this upheaval. It has been observed that the personality of the child is a very bright and an influential factor which aids a child in academic excellence.
