Online Teaching Vs. Classroom Teaching : A Comparative Study

Abstract

India known as 'Vishwaguru' on the educational platform because India has done the work of educating in the whole world since ancient times. Thus India has been the center of learning since ancient times and global learning has been the cultural heritage of India. India is a developing nation which is on the path of continuous development for self-development. As a result, new changes are taking place in the Indian society because teaching is a social process. The new and developed form of teaching seen in the present time is the result of different chronologies. Teaching work in India is being done in Vedic period by Brahmins in ashrams, in Buddhist period by qualified person of any caste in monasteries, in medieval period by Mullahs and Maulvis in Maktabs and Madrasas and in modern times by trained persons in schools. In the Indian education system, the work of providing education by teachers is being done continuously through classroom teaching. But in the present science and technology-oriented era, a new form of teaching (online teaching) has been born. Although some problems of online teaching and classroom teaching are visible. But benefits and limitations are two sides of the same coin. Therefore, for this it is necessary that the education process should be made purposeful and effective by combining online teaching and classroom teaching. The benefits and problems of online teaching and classroom teaching have been pointed out in the present research article.
