Page number 261 of Sudha Narayanan's book "Dietary Planning" states that "Mother's milk can be sufficient till the age of 6 months, but then the quantity and quality of milk is less than the growing requirements of the child They have to give solid material to the child. Otherwise, protein calorie malnutrition symptoms occur in the child.
