Comparative Study of Attitude Towards Teaching Profession of Teachers of Secondary Level Government and Non-Government Aided Schools

Abstract
The study presented is a "comparative study of aptitude towards the teaching profession of teachers of secondary level government and non-government aided schools". The objective of the study is to conduct a comparative study of the aptitude for the teaching profession of women and male teachers of secondary level government and non-government aided schools. The study tests null hypotheses. The study presented is related to the present time, so under descriptive research in the study, the survey method is used. All the government and non-government aided secondary level teachers located in Azamgarh district have been taken as a whole in the present study, which are currently teaching. In the research work, 10 government and 5 non-government aided secondary schools (5 government and 5 non-government) of Azamgarh district were selected out of which 50 teachers (25 male teachers and 25 female teachers) from government schools as judiciary and A total of 50 teachers (25 male teachers and 25 female teachers) have been selected from non-government schools. In the study presented, "measuring aptitude for teaching-occupation" by Dr. J. C. Goyal was used. It is a certified test as well as objective and reliable and the validity of this test is high. The mean, standard deviation and t-ratio statistical methods have been used to analyze and interpret data. The findings of the study found that teachers in secondary level government schools are more inclined towards teaching profession than teachers in non-government aided schools. Teaching aptitude of teachers in non-government aided schools is found to be lower than that of teachers in government schools, indicating that non-government schools have low pay, non-promotion, lack of resources and other facilities with no job. There may be concerns of removal etc. At the same time, teachers of government schools may have to get promotion along with higher salary as well as other salary allowance etc.
