Abstract

After returning from Africa, Gandhiji had successfully used the budding nationalism of India. That land is the land of Champaran and from this experiment the flag of socialist thought was hoisted. It was Gandhiji's role that the triathga of truth, non-violence and satyagraha flowed in the land of Champaran in Bihar and his creative activities instilled an incomparable power to wave the ecstasy of socialism. The awakening of the exploited, oppressed, dalit masses paved the way and Gandhi ji in the modern Bihar for the first time against untouchability. This creative program was the first revolutionary step in the form of social consciousness and economic equality which was taken by the only Mahatma Buddha two and a half thousand years ago. First President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad was the only active worker, disciple and devoted creature in Gandhiji's campaign. He wrote in "Gandhi in Champaran" - Whatever happened in Champaran, it was repeated on a huge scale in the whole country according to my hope. Champaran was freed from the tyranny of the Nilhe Sahabas, the white Bhupathis. India today is free from foreign state.
