Abstract

The situation of Indian women declined gradually due to several reasons. Therefore, after losing the golden past of the Aryan era, she started living a miserable life in the society. As in the British colonial period, attention was paid to the problems of women by some Indian social reformers. His tireless efforts started a change in the views and attitudes of society and people. This change was clearly visible in the last 25 years of the nineteenth century and the early days of the twentieth century. But the situation was still not completely satisfactory. Despite the changes in attitudes of people and society, women were far behind in the social and political life of the country. There was a complete lack of political modernization among them.
