Abstract

In ancient times, the condition of women was good, but in the middle ages, their condition became very bad. Saints' view of women was relatively liberal. Their development was stagnant due to many bad practices. These saints tried to break these bad practices prevalent in the society and gave them a respectable position in the society. First of all, Ramananda gave discipleship without distinguishing between men and women. By giving place to women in his Sangh, Ramanand made one of the most important in the field of social reform. His two disciples were Vidyavati and Surasari.
