Human Resource Development : A Geographical Study of Gaya, Nawadah, Aurangabad And Jehanabad Districts, Bihar

Man is at the centre of all developments. Human resources are the most fundamental of all the resources. A region may have abundant and inexhaustible natural resources but unless there are inhabitants to utilize the resources, a region cannot develop. Magadh Division as a whole records higher literacy rates in all the categories e.g. total, males, females, rural and urban to that of Bihar State. Among the districts of the Division Aurangabad (57.80%) and Jainabad (56.03%) depict higher percentage of literacy as compared to rates of the division. Highest literacy rate is in the district of Aurangabad in the Division which is about 10% higher than the State
