A Discussion of The Lightness and Gravity of Lunar Grammar

Abstract
Grammar is required to purify a language. For the Lord is not able to use saintly words without knowledge of grammar. Therefore, grammar must be read. In grammar, there are the Chandra sect, the Jainendra sect, the Shaktaya sect, the Haima sect, the Katantra sect, the Sarasvata sect, the Bopadeva sect, the Kramadisvara sect and the Saupadma sect. The chief of those sects is the Chandra sect of Chandragomyacharya. Chandracharya, who was famous for his grammars, found an old book of the Mahabhashya somewhere in the southern extremities and brought it to Kashmir during the reign of Abhimanyu, propagated the Mahabhashya and composed his own new grammar. This grammar of Chandracharya is shorter than the Panini grammar. So now I am writing this research paper on the merits and demerits of lunar grammar.
