Abstract

The literature on teacher commitment can be scanned to generalize and form perceptions about the methods that define, describe, and characterize teacher commitment. The current accepted concepts of teacher commitment are directly linked to organizational commitment by many researchers from research conducted in the 1970s. Teachers have their commitment to the social context in which they work. However, the widespread assumption is that teacher commitment is not one-dimensional, but has many layers and dimensions, commitment is a term that one uses to describe oneself and others. It means a conscious choice to do something. Teacher commitment has been identified as one of the most important factors for the future success of education and schools. Commitment is part of a teacher’s emotional or emotional response to their experience in a school setting. It can be considered as part of a learned behavior or attitude associated with the professional behavior of teachers. The commitment of the teacher for the future success of education and schools has been identified as one of the most important factors. "Commitment is a term used to differentiate between those who are caring, those who are dedicated and those who 'take work seriously' and those who put their interests first." "Teacher commitment has been found to be a key predictor for making a significant impact on teachers' performance, absenteeism, burnout and turnover, as well as student achievement and attitudes toward school."
