Abstract

The compressive strength of concrete can be obtained from the existing structures by non-destructive testing. The actual strength of the concrete structure is provided by this test. There is minimal damage to the structure on which the test is being performed. The types of non destructive tests to be performed are the rebound hammer test, ultra sonic pulse velocity test, and carbonation test. The area of the structure to be examined measures 750 square meters. The building was constructed in the year 1996, and the concrete spalling exposes the reinforcement of the structure to the atmosphere. The goal is to establish the structural stability of the structure through non-destructive testing and, if necessary, provide remediation procedures.
